Jaime Munguia needed a fight with someone who he couldn't bully around and make him work the entire time.
The 22-year-old got just that on Saturday night at the Toyota Center in Houston from Takeshi Inoue. But Munguia's power proved to be too much as he defeated Inoue in a gritty fight by unanimous decision to retain the WBO junior middleweight championship. Sporting News had it scored 118-110 for Munguia.
"I came to give everything and I want to congratulate my rival, who left everything on the ring," Munguia said in his post-fight interview.
